Your new companyMy Client is a regulatory body whose head office is based in Manchester. Your new roleYou will be leading and co-ordinating all financial and statutory reporting, including compling the financial statements to provide high-quality financial advice and support to the IS section. Other duties will include- To manage the capital budget by liaising with IS and Facility managers.- To maintain an accurate and current fixed asset register which will encompass the capitalisation of new assets, additions, disposals and the calculation and posting of depreciation and amortisation expenditure.- Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts.- To input into the design of a new capital asset module which is being created as part of a wider new finance Enterprise System.Main Responsibilities- Prepare annual reports and accounts- Consolidate the preparation of the monthly management accounts, including monthly forecasting, review variances, trends and performance.- Prepare the annual budget- Maintain the fixed assets register- Contribute to the continual improvement of financial processes, controls and reporting- To understand and apply safeguarding policies What you'll need to succeed

  • Full membership of an accounting body recognised by the Financial Reporting Council.
  • Experience of collating financial statements, with the technical understanding ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal frameworks.
  • Experience of consolidated reporting, either between separate entities or providing internal consolidated reports from different parts of the same organisation.
  • Experience of compiling budgets and forecasts and preparing variance analysis reports.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively, co-ordinate and prioritise tasks and must be able to work to tight deadlines.
