The CompanyDelighted to be supporting this high growth, entrepreneurial c £90m t/o group, in their search for a high calibre Financial Controller to join their growing finance team. The role has been created as group expands their operations and is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function, drive financial performance, and support strategic decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesAs the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations across the group. You will lead the finance team, ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting, effective cashflow management, and robust internal controls. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will play a key role in providing strategic insights, improving processes, and supporting the business in achieving its financial goals.• Lead and manage the finance team across all group entities, overseeing management accountants, credit control, purchase ledger, and payroll functions.• Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the Finance Director and senior leadership team.• Drive financial performance through effective budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.• Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow) for all entities.• Ensure accurate consolidation of group accounts, including intercompany adjustments and eliminations.• Conduct detailed variance analysis against budgets/forecasts and provide insightful commentary.• Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior directors and external stakeholders.• Manage group-wide cashflow forecasting and reporting, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs.• Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset registers, and accruals.• Prepare financial schedules and liaise with external auditors during the year-end audit process.• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.• Implement and manage internal controls for intercompany processes.• Support the Finance Director in preparing board packs and group-level financial analysis.• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.• Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy.• Act as a finance business partner to operational teams, providing financial insights to support decision-making.• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, working closely with department heads.Key Skills preferred• Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Group Finance Manager, or Financial Controller in a multi-entity environment.• Extensive experience in financial reporting, cashflow management, and month-end processes.• Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a finance team.• Experience with intercompany transactions.• Expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.• Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)Desirable• Experience in the logistics, asset hire, or facilities management sectors.• Familiarity with Sage 50 Accounts, Sage Payroll, or similar ERP systems.• Experience working with PE-backed or leveraged finance structures.Excellent opportunity to join a high growth entrepreneurial during an exciting phase of expansion.
