MERJE is currently looking to recruit a Fraud Investigator for our client, a leading insurance business. This role offers an exciting opportunity to protect the business and customers from fraud in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Location: Manchester. Hybrid working available with 1 day per week in the office.

The Role

As a Fraud Investigator - Accidental Damage, you'll manage a portfolio of suspected organised/opportunistic accidental damage claims, conduct interviews, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate evidence and make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities of the Fraud Investigator - Accidental Damage:
  • Conduct thorough investigations of suspected fraudulent Accidental Damage claims
  • Perform telephone interviews with customers and engage with external suppliers
  • Utilise various databases and liaise with law enforcement agencies
  • Assess evidence including intelligence, Police reports, and engineering evidence
  • Meet agreed fraud KPIs and targets while ensuring compliance with company procedures
Required knowledge and experience for the Fraud Investigator - Accidental Damage role:
  • Proven track record of managing a caseload with adherence to SLAs
  • Strong understanding of FCA, Consumer Duty, and FOS
  • Good understanding of the motor insurance industry
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach and ability to work in a team
