Your new companyOur client are a prestigiouseducational institution located in Manchester looking for a Finance Officer tojoin on temporary basis until Apr 2025. This role offers the opportunity to bepart of a dynamic finance team within an organization that values growth andexcellence.Your new roleAs a Finance Officer,you will play a crucial role in the finance team. You will be responsible for providing financial administrative support including:
- Regularmonitoring of transactions and reconciliation of supplier accounts
- Managingthe month/year-end process, including checking receipting, projectcertificates, and valuations.
- Calculating variance analysis and presenting reportsto the Directors and Management Accounts team.
- Reconciling monthly actual expenditure with data fromOracle Financials.
- Processing monthly journals and accruals.
- Liaising with budget holders, project managers, andrelevant members of Finance to produce reports for various stakeholders.
- Assisting in preparing cash flow statements
What you'll needto succeedYou will have:
- Strong experience in finance and budget management.
- Proficiency in using financial software and systems,particularly Oracle Financials.
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
- Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of ateam.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach toproblem-solving.
