Our client is seeking a Group Accountant to join their dynamic team in Manchester. The successful candidate will play a key role in consolidating the results of all global business units, producing full year and half year statutory accounts, and ensuring best practice in terms of application of relevant accounting policies and standards across the Group.

What you'll do:
As a Group Accountant, your role will be pivotal in maintaining accurate accounting records, producing accurate statutory accounts through expert technical knowledge, and applying relevant account standards and policies. You will have a key role in preparing the year-end and interim financial statements, acting as the main point of contact for external auditors. Your ability to research technical queries and prepare accounting papers on key judgement areas will be crucial. You will also support the production of results announcements, trading updates, and investor presentations.

- Maintain and review the accuracy and integrity of the group consolidation
- Support production of results announcements, trading updates and investor presentations
- Own UK local subsidiary financial statements
- Support submission of actuals into consolidation system
- Maintain technical knowledge and support implementation of new / amendments to accounting standards across the Group
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Group Accountant position is ACA qualified with good working knowledge of Excel. You should have experience with preparation or audit of statutory accounts under IFRS, along with up-to-date technical knowledge. Experience dealing with Group accounts and multiple overseas subsidiary companies is essential. Your ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage your own time effectively, work independently, operate within a tight control environment, and implement new ways of working will set you apart.
