Robert Walters are excited to be representing a highly successful Private Equity Backed company as they embark on an ambitious growth journey, doubling revenues in the past 18 months. Following a series of significant acquisitions, they are seeking a highly motivated and experience Group Accountant to join their team at their state-of-the-art offices in South Manchester.

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will take a lead role in the financial reporting process at group level, ensuring successful group reporting and consolidations are completed. What you'll do:

As a Group Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in performing finance activities for head office entities and managing group consolidation. You will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining a robust intercompany process on a new finance system incorporating all existing and newly acquired entities. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting audit and statutory accounts processes while ensuring adherence to best practices in financial reporting, data integrity, and group policy compliance. Additionally, you will lend your skills to support the integration of acquired entities and acquisition accounting when required. A key part of your role will also involve driving improvement and automation of processes.

  • Perform finance activities for head office entities and group consolidation.
  • Establish and maintain a robust intercompany process on a new finance system.
  • Provide support and coordination through audit and statutory accounts processes.
  • Ensure best practice adherence in financial reporting, data integrity, and group policy compliance.
  • Support integration of acquired entities and acquisition accounting when required.
  • Drive improvement and automation of processes.

What you bring:

  • Qualified accounting professional (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
  • Strong technical financial accounting & reporting ability.
  • Strong understanding of financial systems and analytical tools.
  • Keen eye for detail balanced with an ability to step back and see the bigger picture.
  • Proven ability to deliver under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills - comfortable interacting across all levels of the business.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is highly desirable.
