With ambitious plans for expansion over the next 5 years, the organization offers a forward-thinking and exciting opportunity.Job Purpose:The Management Accountant will report into the Finance Director and be responsible for managing the month-end processes and producing monthly management accounts. The role requires maintaining accurate financial records and fulfilling all internal and external requirements. This is a critical position that provides essential financial information to support business decision-making.Key Responsibilities:
  • Production of monthly management accounts
  • Conducting financial analysis to assist in decision-making within the business
  • Weekly reporting on sales, stock, variance analysis, and profitability
  • Leading the month-end process
  • Performing monthly reconciliations of the balance sheet
  • Assisting with the year-end audit process
  • Managing and developing the finance system
  • Preparing quarterly VAT returns
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Participating in and reviewing stocktakes
  • Overseeing the purchase ledger and credit control functions
  • Managing finance staff
  • Handling other ad hoc tasks as required
