Management Accountant
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum (Dependant on experience)Based: Manchester City Centre - Great Transport links Hours: 9:00-17:00 - Fully Office basedAn excellent opportunity exists with a successful company in Manchester City Centre who are recruiting for a Management Accountant. The position will lead to further growth as the company makes progress in new markets.This role works with a high performing finance team, reporting into the Finance Manager and would suit someone with strong, all-round accounting skills. You must be able to work within a fast-paced environment while maintaining a keen eye for detail, be self-motivated, organised, have excellent time management and the ability to work as a member of the team.Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee financial planning, ensuring accurate budgets and forecasts.* Provide key insights to support decision-making and drive business growth.* Prepare detailed reports and financial models to improve strategic planning.* Preparing monthly management accounts and other financial reports such as budgets.* Presenting reports to senior management to aid with business decision making.* Supporting the Finance Manager with meeting department heads on actual to budget* Review Vat returns.* Support the Accounting and Finance Director with Statutory Reporting and Cash Flows.* Payroll preparation for allocated companies* Sales and purchase ledger processing as required * Creating financial statements for internal and external company requirements.Desirable Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field* Studying towards CIMA, ACCA qualification * Minimum of 2 year's experience in management accounting* Advanced MS Office skills, particularly in MS Excel* Strong technical knowledge of accounting systems, including cloud-based platforms* Experience with payroll management* Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills Benefits:* Enhanced holiday package* Discretionary bonus scheme* Enhanced pension* New Manchester Cit Centre office space* Regular Training and Development Opportunities* Work social events
