Robert Half is partnering with a global organisation based in Manchester City Centre to recruit a Management Accountant to support within their Fund Accounting team for an initial 3-month contract. The role sits within a high-performing finance team responsible for fund accounting across various investment vehicles. This presents an excellent opportunity for a qualified management accountant to apply their skills in a fund accounting environment, whilst working in a setting that promotes development, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and analyse financial records across various funds and investment vehicles, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Support the preparation of statutory and investor reports, applying strong management accounting principles to fund reporting
- Produce detailed variance analysis and commentary on fund performance
- Coordinate month-end processes including accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
- Support NAV calculations and income distribution computations with analytical review
- Work alongside senior team members to streamline processes and enhance reporting efficiency
- Build effective working relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with strong management accounting background
- Previous experience in financial services is advantageous, but not essential
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and deliver results under pressure
- Keen interest in developing fund accounting knowledge
