Management Accountant
Duration: 12 months FTC
Salary: 45,000
Location: Manchester City Centre
About the role: 12 months maternity cover needed. The Management Accountant will play a key role in preparing, analysing and reporting financial information to support strategic decision-making. This position requires a strong understanding of Management Accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to efficiently communicate financial data.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare/Calculate month end journals including payments/ accruals, accrued/deferred income
- Preparation of Management Accountants for several limited companies within the group
- Month end reporting including profit & loss
- Strong attention to detail and an ability to reconcile multiple of sources of income is key
- Assist with the Group VAT return and payment process
- Assist the Head of Finance with any other projects as required
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience: a minimum of 3-5 years in a Management/ Cost Accountant role
- Finalist or newly qualified (CIMA/ACCA or equivalent)
- Strong IT Skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot table, VLOOKUPs etc)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently
- Availability: Immediately Available
