Are you a driven Management Accountant with a strong background in stock and inventory management? This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing and dynamic business where you will play a key role in the finance team.

As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the management accounts function while ensuring accurate reporting and financial control over stock. You will work closely with operational teams to provide insight into stock movements, costs, and variances, helping to drive efficiencies across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, including profit & loss and balance sheet reporting
  • Reconciling stock movements, identifying variances, and ensuring accurate valuation
  • Supporting month-end close processes, including accruals, prepayments, and journals
  • Working with operational and supply chain teams to improve stock control and reporting
  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting, with a focus on stock-related costs
  • Performing variance analysis and reporting key insights to senior stakeholders
  • Supporting audit processes and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements within stock and cost accounting


Key Requirements

  • Qualified or Part-Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent experience
  • Strong stock and inventory accounting experience - ideally within a manufacturing, wholesale, or retail environment
  • Excellent analytical skills with experience in variance analysis and reporting
  • A proactive and commercial mindset, with the ability to challenge and influence stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
