The role will involve taking the lead for a growing portfolio of general accounting work, overseeing workflow, deadlines and resourcing and building enhanced and loyal client relationships.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leading a portfolio of clients, managing your workflow, deadlines, and budgets.
  • Planning and undertaking assignments, striving to deliver service excellence.
  • Lead a team of accountants, reviewing work, providing constructive mentorship, and motivating those around you.
  • Supporting Client Managers to meet KPIs.
  • Contribute to the firm’s growth by retaining existing clients and building relationships with prospective clients.
  • Build trusted and long-lasting client relationships, proactively handing queries.
  • Reviewing processes and implementing more efficient ways of service delivery.
  • Supporting the managers as required with a range of ad hoc tasks.

The successful candidate

  • ACA or ACCA qualified, with at least three years’ post-qualification experience.
  • Specialist knowledge of medical sector regulations would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrable experience managing a client portfolio, with a results-driven approach.
  • Previous experience leading a team, including reviewing work and providing mentorship.
  • A sound commercial understanding, including forecasting and monitoring fee recovery.
  • A can-do attitude to problem-solving.
  • Organised and able to oversee a team’s workload effectively.
  • Excellent communication and advisory skills.
  • Confident working closely with senior management.
  • Motivated and able to inspire others.
  • Collaborative and creative.
  • Excellent business acumen.
