A Senior Accountant - Estates & Trusts is sought for a leading professional services firm in Manchester. This role requires superb accounting skills, with a focus on estates and trusts.

Description

  • Preparation of year-end financial statements
  • Taking ownership of ad-hoc advisory projects
  • Preparing management accounts, including reconciling all key account balances and tailoring the presentation specific to each client
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Review of work prepared by other members of the team
  • Work planning and annual timetabling
  • Financial management
  • Cross-departmental communication
  • Experience of preparing year end accounts using accounts production software such as CCH or an equivalent is also required.
  • Experience of working with clients in the rural sector and trusts is desired but is not essential.

Profile

A successful Senior Accountant - Estates & Trusts should have:

  • A recognised accounting qualification ACA/ACCA preferred but open to AAT qualified
  • Self-motivated and pro-active, with the ability to organise your own workload.
  • Display a flexible, professional approach and have the confidence and ability to communicate effectively with managers, partners and clients.
  • Natural team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and excellent eye for detail.
  • Exposure to accounting for estates and trusts
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations
  • Superb communication and relationship-building skills
