Our client is seeking a Senior Forensic Accountant to join their team. With over 25 years of experience, they have grown to be one of the premier and largest specialist Forensic Accountancy practices in the UK, specialising in insurance work. They are known for delivering high-quality advice in select market areas and have a proven track record in driving optimal results.
This role will specialise in the serious injury field, and offers an opportunity to work with a highly experienced team that has been involved in thousands of disputes and cases of all sizes. Whilst the work can sometimes be serious, the team have built up a brilliant culture of fun, collaboration and light-heartedness. There has been virtually no turnover in staff over the last 10+ years, this piece of recruitment is purely due to business growth.
What you'll do:
As a Senior Forensic Accountant, your role will be pivotal in maintaining our client's reputation for excellence and timely delivery. You will carry a full caseload, working predominantly in the Claimant department but also crossing over into Defendant insurance work. Your ability to prepare thorough reports will be crucial in helping settle cases of all sizes. This role offers an ideal opportunity for those wishing to work with more autonomy but nevertheless in a supportive environment.
- Carry a full caseload, liaising with relevant legal teams from instruction to progress the cases to their conclusion
- Work predominantly in our Claimant department but with some inevitable crossover into Defendant insurance work
- Maintain balance of work between Claimant and Defendant departments
- Prepare thorough reports to help in the settlement of cases of all sizes
- Work extensively with most of the largest serious injury practices in the country
- Ensure timely delivery and continued reputation for excellence
What you bring:
- At least 5 years Forensic Accountancy experience, predominantly in injury/clinical negligence work
- Experience of being a named Expert on reports is preferred
- Professionally qualified/part qualified (ACA/ACCA) or Qualified by experience
- Ability to maintain balance of work between Claimant and Defendant departments
- Excellent report writing skills
- Ability to handle cases of utmost severity and complexity
