As Senior Management Accountant you will be responsible for managing and mentoring a small team, whilst reviewing the month-end activities as well as having involvement in the budgeting and forecasting for the business, and business partnering with the wider business, such as marketing, commercial and legal.

My client, who operates within the sports sector, is a well established business in their field. They have a strong Finance team with high calibre individuals to learn from and a fantastic wider culture as a business.

Description

  • Mentor and manage a small team of 2 to 4 people
  • Communicate with department heads around the business to provide meaningful insights and commentary on the accounts
  • Support with the budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Management of the cash flow process and reports
  • Be the main point of contact with the auditors and support the Head of Finance in producing the year-end statutory accounts
  • Get involved in wider annual projects across the business which will give you the opportunity to have close contact with operations
  • Take responsibility for the submission of VAT returns
  • Payroll analysis

Profile

  • ACA/CIMA/ACA qualified
  • This role would be suitable for a 1st time mover from Practice or someone who has trained within Industry
  • Previous supervisory or managerial experience would be useful
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good attention to detail
