Your new company A prestigious and customer focused property and estates company is looking to recruit a Service Charge Accountant.Your new roleIn this role, you will be performing the financial duties associated with the management of the estates and buildings to ensure the successful day to day running of the assets. Your main duties will include; reviewing budget verse actual costs and producing reports to non-financial staff/external contacts, including investigations into variances, bank reconciliations, trial balance, accruals/prepayments, journals, VAT reports and analysis of forecasting and spending trends. Above all, you will take ownership of all financial processes relating to the commercial properties under remit, with a strong emphasis on service charge financial management and client specific reporting, anticipating and being proactive in your liaison. What you'll need to succeedTo succeed in this role, you will ideally have experience working as a management accountant or a service charge accountant, with a background in double entry bookkeeping, reconciliation and reporting. You will be able to demonstrate a professional and customer-focused approach, and be proactive in anticipating any anomalies in the data or cost variances and reporting back to customers will be an essential part of the role.
