Your new companyA prestigious and customer focused property and estates company is looking to recruit a Service Charge Accountant.Your new roleWorking within the finance team, you will be performing the financial duties associated with the management of the estates and buildings under management to ensure the successful day to day running of the assets. Your main duties will include; reviewing budget verse actual costs and producing reports to non-financial staff/external contacts, including investigations into variances, bank reconciliations, trial balance, accruals/prepayments, journals, VAT reports and analysis of forecasting and spending trends. Above all, you will take ownership of all financial processes relating to the commercial properties under remit, with a strong emphasis on service charge financial management and client specific reporting, anticipating and being proactive in your liaison.What you'll need to succeedYou will already have a current track record in management accounts with a strong background in double entry bookkeeping, reconciliation and reporting. Whilst property/estate management accounting experience would be ideal, this is not essential. You will be able to demonstrate a professional and customer focused approach, being proactive in anticipating any anomalies in the data or cost variances and reporting back to customers will be an essential part of the role. Being a team player, with strong analytical skills/attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are the key attributes to your success in this position.What you'll get in returnFlexible working options are available on a hybrid basis.
