- Maintain accounts in Sage and produce monthly trial balances
- Full management of the accounting package – currently Sage 50, including all journal entries, invoice processing and expenses.
- Provide insight into business performance on a weekly/monthly basis
- Full management of cash, bank reconciliations and managing petty cash.
- Processing of payments in Multiple Currencies.
- Prepare Prepayments, Accruals & maintain FA register
- Preparing quarterly UK VAT return
- Ad hoc projects for senior members of the business
- Assist with the financial audit
- Report discrepancies or mistakes to senior management
- Assist with annual budgeting
- Working towards or achieved AAT L3
- Experience in a similar finance assistant / accounts assistant position
- Ideally experienced in SAGE 50
- Possess strong analytical skills
- Motivated to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills - able to communicate financial information in a way that non-financial people can understand it
