Your new firmThis is an exciting opportunity to join a well-renowned, leading firm based in the heart of Manchester, who have an exciting opportunity in their accounts team. Being a top 20 firm, they specialise in all departments from accounts and audit to tax, payroll, VAT and more. With a client base of SME's to OMB's and larger clients in varying industries such as manufacturing and professional services, you can really develop your knowledge here. This accounts assistant role has arisen due to organic internal growth within the firm.Your new roleAs part of the role, you will be joining a growing team of accounts professionals who you will work closely with daily to enhance your current knowledge of the field. Specific duties consist of preparing statutory accounts for sole traders and partnerships for your seniors and managers' review. You will also be involved with drafting corporation tax computations, bookkeeping, VAT returns and other duties to service your clients. What you'll need to succeedIn order to succeed in this role, you will need prior experience with an accountancy firm, at least two years; you will need to be studying your AAT or ACCA / ACA qualifications. Other requirements will consist of personal attributes, such as approachability to work with your peers and clients, as well as showing a willingness to learn.What you'll get in returnIn return, you will be offered a competitive salary ranging between £23,000 to £26,000 (DOE), whilst having the opportunity to work within a top 20 firm that have a strong accounts team for you to develop your knowledge from.
