Your new firmThis is an exciting opportunity for you to join a well renowned, top 20 firm based in greater Manchester with offices covering the whole of the UK. Due to their years of experience and range of partners, they specialise in services including accounts, audit, corporate finance, tax and more. This is the perfect opportunity to develop your current accounts knowledge and develop within a firm offering great training and development, working with a mixed bag of clients, from start-ups to OMBs to SMEs with turnovers in excess of £25 million. This accounts assistant job has arisen due to continuous internal growth within the firm.Your new roleYour duties in this role will see you get involved in all aspects of accounts work, working within a team of accounts professionals to help you in your role and for you to learn from. Your day-to-day roles will include preparing both statutory and management accounts, completing corporation tax returns, VAT returns, and producing partnership and sole trader accounts, along with bookkeeping duties. You will be reporting into the seniors and managers daily, completing work for their review and making amendments from this. What you'll need to succeedIn order to succeed in this job, you will need previous practice experience, a minimum of a year's experience in practice; you will need to be part qualified in your ACCA or ACA qualification. Experience in accounting software is required, Xero and IRIS are needed, any other software's will be considered. Other personal attributes will be required, this consists of being confident and having good interpersonal skills to maintain client relationships.
