Accounts Assistant Office-Based - Manchester City Centre£26,000Working Week: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PMWe are currently recruiting for a Legal Accounts Cashier to join a leading law firm in the heart of Manchester city centre. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and highly organised individual to join a dynamic team in a fast-growing firm. If you have a passion for finance and want to work in a professional legal environment, this could be the role for you!What's on Offer:- Birthday Day Off plus a gift- Wellbeing and mental health support via Health Assured's Employee Assistance Programme- Paid Company Social Events, including occasional overnight stays- Child's First Day of School Off- Dress-Down Fridays every week- 1-2-1 Development and Training opportunities- No Bank Holiday Working- Employee of the Month Scheme- Long Service Bonus- Extra Holidays for 100% attendanceKey Responsibilities:As a Accounts Assistant, you will assist the finance team with various financial operations, including:- Monitoring and reconciling bank accounts and payments- Ensuring timely and accurate payments to clients and suppliers- Raising and sending Sales Invoices through CRM (Xero) to partner firms- Conducting monthly client account reconciliations- Identifying and implementing improvements to finance processes- Managing client and office account bank reconciliations on Xero- Regularly updating and monitoring the Ledger on the CRM system (Pro Claim)- Overseeing billing team mailboxes and resolving any related queries- Working with internal and external stakeholders to address payment and invoice issuesSkills & Experience Required:To be successful in this role, you should have:- A solid understanding of SRA rules- Experience with Proclaim, Xero, and Microsoft Office (desirable but not essential)- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills- Proficiency in MS Excel- Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively- Experience processing and recording financial transactions in compliance with Solicitors - - Accounts Rules (SARS)- Strong written and verbal communication skills- A proactive and adaptable approach, even under pressure- The ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients, referrers, and stakeholders- A willingness to stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and regulatory changesWhy Apply?This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and expanding law firm in a highly supportive and professional environment.
