Description
The key responsibilities of an Accounts Assistant will include:
- Purchase Ledger and expense tasks - Accurately process all supplier invoices, verifying currency, tax rates, and any additional charges in a timely manner.
- Promptly resolve any discrepancies to ensure on-time payments and a smooth audit trail.
- Credit Control - Take ownership of credit checks, proactively contact customers in advance of invoices being paid, consistently follow up on unpaid invoices, and escalate issues as needed.
- Sales Ledger tasks and sales order processing - You will be responsible for ensuring every invoice is processed accurately on first pass, and that no line item goes unchecked.
- Bank Reconciliation - Maintain daily reconciliations across multiple entities.
- Oversee Budgets
- Oversee employee expenses - Verifying receipts, mileage logs, and other necessary documentation for accuracy.
- Producing ad-hoc documents and reports - Create various financial reports on request
Profile
The successful Accounts Assistant will have:
- Previous experience working within a Finance background
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and Xero accounting software
- High attention to detail
- Can do attitude and eagerness to learn & develop
