Our client is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on an initial 12 month contract with the potential to turn permanent. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive financial and administrative support, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.

**Please note, this is an immediate start role so you must be available at no more than 1 week notice**

What you'll do:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and bank reconciliations.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Handle queries from suppliers, tenants, and staff regarding financial transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team.

What you'll bring:

  • AAT qualification or equivalent experience in a similar role.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
