Assistant Accountant

My client is a property investment business based in Manchester. Due to the current incumbent leaving the business they are recruiting this role on a permanent basis into their finance function, this is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant to join a company who have an excellent track record of developing and progressing staff into a qualified accountant role.

As an Assistant Accountant you will be responsible for the full accounting process for a number of assets in the business. This will include all transactional elements such as managing the purchase and sales ledgers, making payments and reconciling bank accounts, as well as processing month end accruals, pre-payments and journals, preparing monthly management accounts, completing budgeting and forecasting, profit and loss reports and analysing variances.

This role will suit a candidate who is working towards their CIMA or ACCA who has experience in a varied transactional role with some exposure to month end processes and is keen to continue developing their skills and experience in accounting. The salary on offer is paying up to £32,000 with an attractive benefits package that includes full study support, hybrid working and a generous holiday entitlement, with fantastic opportunities to progress to being a qualified accountant.
