Our Client is a Car dealership that have been successful for over 12 years and currently looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their team. You will be working with their Car dealership as well as their secondary business owned by the same Company based in Manchester City.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record financial transactions using accounting software (Predominantly using Xero)
  • Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Generate financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Assist with budgeting, financial forecasting, and reporting.
  • Maintain organised and accurate financial records.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
  • Oversee payroll across the Group of 25 Staff
  • Manage VAT preparation and expense reporting.
  • Handle petty cash and stock control.
  • Oversee financial reporting.

Key Skills:

  • Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks, Xero).
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Fast learner with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and processes.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Analytical skills to identify discrepancies and errors.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

You will be required to work on-site Monday - Friday.
