As a result of this excellent growth, my client is now recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join the team. Duties

Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports including Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Transactional finance, including reconciliations, invoice processing, payment approvals.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
Utilise accounting software such as Xero and Excel maintain accurate financial records.
Collaborate with other departments
Conduct regular audits of financial transactions to ensure compliance with internal controls.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities by providing relevant financial data.
Maintain organised documentation for all financial transactions and ensure records are up-to-date.

Skills

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or CIMA/ACCA Part Qualification or AAT Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting or finance functions
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (detailed experience of Xero desirable)
Strong understanding of financial management principles and practices.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Good communication skills to interact with colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks to tight deadlines.
