Castlefield Recruitment is seeking an Assistant Financial Accountant for a Social Enterprise in Greater Manchester.
The position is permanent, offering a salary between £32,000 and £35,000, along with hybrid and flexible working arrangements.
Key responsibilities include accounting for taxes, providing financial information for annual statements, and liaising with external advisors.
Candidates should have experience in end-to-end financial processes, particularly VAT and cash flow, and should be part qualified in ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA, or AAT qualified.
Public sector experience is highly desirable for this role.

Assistant Financial Accountant | £32,000 - £35,000| Permanent | Manchester :

Castlefield Recruitment are working with a Social Enterprise in Greater Manchester to recruit a Assistant Financial Accountant to their busy team. The role is offered on a permanent basis, the role offers hybrid and flexible working arrangements as well as a great benefits package.

Duties:

Accounting for all relevant taxes including VAT, CIS and Corporation Tax accurately and submitting returns
Providing financial information to assist with producing annual financial statements
Liaising with external tax advisors and auditors
Producing balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow reports and ensuring compliance
Setting up and amending direct debits and service charge accounts

Experience:

Self-motivated with strong communication skills
Experience of working the end-to-end financial processes - VAT and cashflow knowledge is essential
ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA part qualified or AAT qualified – Public Sector experience is highly desirable
