- Assisting with the preparation of the monthly management accounts.
- Assist with the annual budget preparation.
- Monthly posting of journals, accruals, prepayments, accrued and deferred income.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Preparation of the P&L and variances.
- Assist with the reconciliation of service charges.
- Monitoring the bank accounts daily.
- Reviewing P&L and suspense ledgers ensuring correct allocations.
- Update the weekly cash flow
- Prepare tax packs and quarterly VAT returns.
- Preparing annual statutory accounts.
- Bi-annual and annual audit support, gathering requested documentation and preparing packs.
- Keeping on top of the emails inbox.
- Any ad-hoc work as necessary.
- Actively studying CIMA/ACCA and looking to qualify.
- Experience in a similar role will be essential.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and good general aptitude for accounting systems
- An appetite for further career development in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work on own initiative and manage own workload to strict deadlines
