As an Assistant Financial Accountant, you will:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS and financial reporting standards.
- Support the timely and accurate submission of financial information to external stakeholders.
- Work closely with auditors, providing robust evidence and explanations to facilitate the audit process.
- Play a key role in month-end processes, including journal preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger activities.
- Manage non-current assets, maintaining accurate records and ensuring proper accounting for asset changes.
- Contribute to VAT submissions, ensuring compliance with relevant government regulations and improving internal understanding of VAT processes.

The ideal candidate will:
- Have significant financial experience and strong accounting skills.
- Possess knowledge of International Accounting Standards (IAS) and IFRS.
- Demonstrate strong Excel skills and the ability to analyse financial data.
- Hold a relevant qualification, such as AAT Level 4, CIMA Certificate, ACCA Diploma, CIPFA Certificate, or ACA progress towards Certificate level.
- Be highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Have excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build trusted relationships.
