Job Type: Full-time, Office-based (5 days a week)

1. Introduction

We are currently seeking an experienced Finance Assistant for an exciting opportunity based in Manchester. This is a full-time, office-based position offering a competitive salary between £25,000 and £30,000 depending on experience. You will play an essential role in a dynamic company that provides comprehensive claims handling services within the insurance sector. 2. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations for multiple client accounts, ensuring accurate records.

  • Process payments, allocate funds, and maintain detailed records for three departments.

  • Run sanctions checks and verify bank details via telephone for payments.

  • Manage foreign exchange (FX) banking, multicurrency payments, and related reporting.

  • Prepare various reports, including fee schedules, cash flow checks, and closed file reports.

3. What Experience is Required
  • Proven experience in purchase ledger and financial reporting, particularly in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent Excel skills and experience with Xero is desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage time-sensitive tasks and work under pressure.

  • Experience in banking, foreign exchange, or insurance sectors is an advantage.
