What You'll Be Doing:
As a Finance Assistant, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of all accounts payable and receivable. Your attention to detail and strong organisational skills will be crucial as you ensure that invoices are recorded accurately and on time. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, managing customer queries, resolving disputes, and ensuring the seamless allocation of receipts and payments to the correct ledger accounts. With responsibility for transactional processing across 15+ companies, you will be at the heart of the company's financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accurately record and process invoices, ensuring timely and precise entries in the accounts payable and receivable ledgers.
* Collect outstanding debts and manage customer queries, resolving any disputed invoices efficiently.
* Process receipts and payment transactions promptly, allocating them to the appropriate accounts.
* Maintain smooth transactional processing for 15+ companies, ensuring all accounts are up-to-date and accurate.
* Collaborate with internal teams to support a positive and effective working environment.
* Contribute to continuous learning and development, both for personal growth and to help improve overall team performance.
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience working in a financial environment, with strong knowledge of both accounts payable and receivable processes.
* High proficiency in Excel & experience with financial payment and banking software (e.g., Bank line).
* Experience working in a busy accounts department, demonstrating the ability to thrive under pressure.
