As part of continued growth, seeking a well-rounded, commercially minded Actuarial Pricing Analyst to join a Pricing & Analytics team, supporting product development, premium growth and various commercial initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, diligent and practical individual to work and grow in a fast-paced MGA, applying actuarial skills to help shape the future of insurance.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Risk Portfolio Monitoring:
Conduct thorough analyses of risk, claims, and premium data to support pricing decisions and improve the accuracy of financial forecasting. Monitor portfolio performance, analyse loss trends, and suggest pricing adjustments to ensure the sustainability of our product lines.
Support for Growth Initiatives:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide actuarial insights for premium growth, new product launches, and other commercial strategies.
Configuration, Coding & Testing:
Develop, implement and maintain detailed product configuration, including pricing and business rules, using a unique underwriting & product platform to support multiple schemes and product variants.
Reporting and Insights:
Prepare actuarial reports, dashboards, and presentations to help senior stakeholders understand business performance, pricing adequacy, and growth opportunities.
Collaboration with Teams:
Work closely with underwriting, product development, and analytics teams to ensure pricing and products are aligned with market demands and business objective.
Qualifications/Experience:
Education: A degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in an actuarial or analytical role, ideally in insurance or financial services.
Actuarial Exams: Progress towards qualification with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA), with the completion of at least 2-3 actuarial exams.
Strong communication skills to present insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in reporting and modelling.
Experience in Property, Casualty and/or Financial Lines insurance is preferable.
