We are happy to be recruiting for one of our high-profile Banking clients. They are currently looking for a Reconciliations Clerk to join them for an initial 6-month contract. However, there may be scope for extension or even a more permanent opportunity.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Cash reconciliation of client operating accounts.
  • Administration of loan and bond portfolios.
  • Monitor receipt and disbursement of funds through to settlement.
  • Execute funds transfer from/to accounts.
  • Regular communication with external parties, including but not limited to, the portfolio manager, loan agents, trading counterparties, auditors, rating agencies.
  • Act as a support to the Client Service Manager who has overall responsibility for ensuring that the duties as contracted are being provided by the client.
  • Participate in various projects such as new deal closings and any other projects as assigned.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in financial services is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft packages particularly Excel.
  • Excellent technical and numerical skills, with accurate data manipulation, analysis & checking of work.
  • Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a pressurised environment.
  • Attention to Detail.
  • Adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Quick to develop new skills and a pro-active approach to learning and training.
  • Problem Solving skills.
  • Ability to quickly address issues - strong decision making.

Location:

This is a hybrid working role, with a requirement to work from the clients Manchester office at least 3 days a week. You will be required to be in office 5 days a week for the first few weeks whilst training commences.

Working hours:

Standard working hours with some flex where required.
