Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join our team. As an ANP, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing advanced clinical care and support to patients. This is a temporary role to coveron an ongoing basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Care:

    • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to patients across all age groups, managing both acute and chronic conditions.
    • Perform advanced assessments, diagnostics, and treatment interventions for a range of clinical presentations.
    • Prescribe medications, initiate treatments, and perform clinical procedures as within your scope of practice.
    • Work with the multidisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Patient Consultations:

    • Conduct face-to-face and virtual consultations, offering advice and guidance regarding medical conditions, treatments, and preventative measures.
    • Review patient histories, conduct physical exams, and interpret diagnostic results to formulate diagnoses.
  • Collaboration:

    • Work closely with GPs, healthcare assistants, practice nurses, and other medical professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
    • Liaise with external healthcare providers, specialists, and hospitals when necessary.
  • Clinical Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
    • Ensure confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations.
  • Education & Mentoring:

    • Support and provide clinical guidance to other nursing staff, offering mentorship as needed.
    • Participate in training and development opportunities as appropriate.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid NMC registration.
  • Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) qualification (or equivalent).
  • Prescribing Qualification (Independent Prescriber qualification is essential).
  • Minimum of 1 years of clinical experience in primary care, urgent care, or acute settings.
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience in managing a range of patient conditions autonomously.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Additional post-graduate qualifications (e.g., MSc in Advanced Practice).
  • Experience in GP Surgeries.
