Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough assessments to identify the needs of patients with musculoskeletal conditions and develop individualised care plans.
  • Treatment and Rehabilitation: Deliver evidence-based interventions, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises, for a variety of musculoskeletal disorders.
  • Clinical Decision-Making: Make independent, informed treatment decisions and adapt rehabilitation plans based on patient progress, in line with clinical guidelines.
  • Multi-disciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with doctors, occupational therapists, and orthopaedic specialists to provide integrated, patient-centred care.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about musculoskeletal conditions and self-management strategies to improve recovery and prevent future injuries.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with NHS policies, and document all treatment interventions and outcomes.
  • Service Improvement: Contribute to the advancement of physiotherapy services by participating in quality improvement initiatives and audits.
  • Supervision and Development: Provide mentorship to junior staff and physiotherapy students, and actively pursue professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills.
