Our client, a leading player in SaaS and custom applications, is seeking a motivated and skilled Tech Team Lead to join their growing and dynamic team. This Technical Team Lead will be specialised in JavaScript and PHP, responsible for their team's technical direction, and overseeing quality of code, incoming development requests and schedules.

Core responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of software engineers, with a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Interpret software development qualifications and design documents.
  • Writing application code and tests that conform to standards.
  • Leading software development projects.
  • Leading the design process using recommended architecture.
  • Oversee Portal team production, ensuring quality adherence to company standards.
  • Scheduling maintenance and internal improvements.
  • Identifying risks and producing contingency plans.
  • Working alongside cross-functional teams, including engineering, testing, user experience and more.

Essential skills:

  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript and Typescript
  • Strong understanding of information security, ISO 27001 and other processes/policies
  • Knowledge of coding standards
  • Knowledge of utilising Angular or Vue.js Frameworks
  • Experience with AWS and Serverless technologies
  • Ability to define technical specifications based on customer requirements
  • System architecture and design

Other technical proficiencies:

  • PHP and Laravel experience
  • Serverless framework, CloudFormation and Terraform
  • Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS and RDS
  • Optimising SQL queries when working with complex and large data sets
