Water Site Supervisor

Job Purpose

Based at our Office in Red Scar, you will be responsible for Supervising and managing the external metering teams working as part of the United Utilities Metering contract. Working to meet the needs of the client in the most cost-effective manner, whilst working with your team and making a profit for Network Plus. You will provide technical expertise, experience and work within a team to deliver a first-class service to our customers.

The Supervisor will ideally be competent on working on the United Utilities Network and have experience of working on the installation of external boundary boxes to existing water services.

Be able to engineer solutions on site and focus your teams on completing work right first time.

Working with the scheduling team ensuring programmes are managed and delivered accordingly providing support to ensure that the companys work is effectively completed through communication with internal and external customers as well as the management of the business and client database systems.

Main Duties

  • Take ownership of each workstream, coordinating the work from receipt, through to job completion.
  • Understanding Site compliance requirements around Sign, Lighting & Guarding
  • Understanding of all types of backfill and re-instatement processes and procedures
  • Responsible for Streetworks performance and driving continual improvements with the Operational teams, i.e. defect and root cause analysis.
  • To ensure that all the client and operational requirements are met in a professional and efficient manner.
  • To provide daily and weekly reports as required and to ensure that all service levels and objectives are achieved.
  • To provide a positive and innovative input into the team, through provision of solutions to problems and embracing change.
  • To ensure that safety issues are reported in line with Company procedures

Experience and Qualifications

  • Relevant Qualifications in relation to the work being carried out. I: e NRWSA at supervisory level
  • National Water Hygiene
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Good management skills
  • Financial and commercial awareness
  • Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
