BMS Commissioning Engineer
Location: Manchester - Bury
Salary: Job Title: Up to 38k depending on experience

We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated BMS Commissioning Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects and deliver high-quality BMS solutions.
Job Description:
In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out full BMS commissioning in compliance with project requirements. Your duties will include producing schedules, modifying panel designs, creating software, updating graphics, and carrying out point-to-point checks. You will work collaboratively with the commissioning team, supervise junior engineers, and ensure the effective and safe delivery of project commissioning.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
* Daily check of emails for instructions and project updates.
* Backup of software and strategy files for all associated systems/sites.
* Liaise with sub-contract engineers and clients, reporting back on design or engineering changes.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships.
* Manage day-to-day operations of sub-contractors on-site.
* Attend site-based commissioning/progress meetings.
* Ensure the project is delivered according to the schedule and design.
* Perform field point-to-point checks, terminations, and wiring modifications.
* Commission various DDC control systems (TREND, Tridium, etc.) and update drawings and descriptions.
* Produce daily reports on progress and delays, submitting them to the Project Manager.
* Collate 'AS COMMISSIONED' information for project handover.
* Regularly update the server and ensure witnessing packs are signed off.
* Perform diligent demonstrations and handovers to clients.
* Conduct site surveys and produce detailed reports with recommendations.
* Attend training courses and meetings as required.
* Adhere to method statements, risk assessments, and company H&S policies.
* Enforce health and safety practices across the site.
* Provide technical support to team members.
* Produce technical submittals and drawings (e.g., description of operations, equipment schedules, etc.).
* Generate and amend technical submittals, RFIs, and tech subs for clients.
* Carry out any other duties as assigned by directors/managers.
Specific Job Knowledge & Experience:
* Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
* Self-motivated, responsible, and accountable.
* Ability to foster good customer relations and maintain commercial awareness.
* Good understanding of Safe Systems of Work and the importance of H&S.
Technical Skills & Experience:
* Experience with BMS systems such as Trend, Tridium, Schneider, Siemens, ALC, or Niagara.
* Strong understanding of HVAC systems.
* Electrically competent.
* Proficient in Word, Excel, and other relevant software.
* Knowledge of control strategy interpretation and modification within BMS systems.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
* Complete weekly timesheets.
* Submit monthly expenses.
* Conduct weekly vehicle checks.
* Perform a dynamic risk assessment for each job (at least 1 per job).
* Identify and report additional work for quotation generation.
Health & Safety:
As with all roles this position carries responsibility for ensuring that all visitors and operatives adhere to the company's Health and Safety policies and procedures.
