Overseas Field Service and Commissioning Engineer

A leading global provider of motors and drives is seeking an Overseas Field Service and Commissioning Engineer to join its team. This company specializes in delivering high-performance motor and variable speed drive solutions across industries such as Power, Oil & Gas, and Steel.

About the Role

This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting international projects, troubleshooting, repairing, and commissioning High Voltage Variable Speed Drive and Motor Systems ranging from 250kW to 150MW. The position is home-based, with extensive worldwide travel often required at short notice. Full training and strong support from an experienced engineering team will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and commission high-voltage drive and motor systems.

  • Conduct preventative maintenance on existing installations.

  • Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, site rules, and company procedures.

  • Generate detailed reports outlining work performed and recommendations.

  • Provide on-site training to customer engineers on system operation and maintenance.

  • Act as a site manager for larger-scale projects.

Candidate Requirements

  • Must hold a valid passport and full UK driving licence due to extensive travel requirements.

  • Degree or HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Genuine interest and knowledge in large motors and drives engineering.
