Are you an Electrical Engineer working within HV looking to move into a challenging and varied new role which offers long-term pay and role progression backed up with an exceptional remuneration package?

This company, based in Manchester, have been working alongside household names across the country for over two decades. Supplying a variety of planned and emergency inspections, maintenance and repairs from 433v through to 33kV they offer a uniquely wide service.

This role involves the travel to various customer sites to install, maintain or repair a wide variety of high voltage equipment such as switchgear, transformers and busbars. In this client facing role, an ability to read complex wiring diagrams in essential and communication necessary to be an exemplary first point of contact for all customers.

The Role:

  • Testing of switchgear, protection, relays, VT's and CT's up to 33kV
  • Installation and modification of switchgear
  • Deliver accurate written and verbal reports from project start to completion
  • Completing the following tasks:
    • Flash Testing
    • C. pressure and VLF testing cables
    • Magnetisation testing
    • Distance, unit, transformer and motor protection
  • Liaising with internal and external engineers regarding all high voltage equipment

The Person:

  • Previous experience within a HV role (preferably substations)
  • Full UK Driver's License
