IC Resources is working with a Manchester based client who is looking for a freelance Mechanical Design Engineer for one of their exciting, newly funded projects.

The Requirements
  • Create and manage 3D CAD models and drawings in Solidworks, following ISO and BS standards for various part types (machined, cast, moulded).
  • Oversee engineering drawing control, document management, and changes through ECN procedures.
  • Perform 3D thermal and stress analysis, contribute to design reviews, and support reliability testing and analysis.
  • Develop manufacturing documentation, jigs, fixtures, and ensure compliance with RoHS and WEEE standards.
  • Investigate new suppliers, materials, and processes for cost reduction and process improvements.
