Role: Quality Engineer
Location: Stockport
Hours: Monday – Friday (flexible start/finish time)
Pay: £38,000 - £40,000 per year
We’re hiring for a Quality Engineer to join a specialist precision engineering company based in Stockport.
This hands-on role will see you working within a highly regulated manufacturing environment, ensuring all products meet strict customer and industry standards.

What will you be doing as a Quality Engineer?
- Performing hands-on inspections of precision machined components and assemblies
- Ensuring all parts meet customer and regulatory requirements in line with ISO9001 / AS9100 standards
- Using a range of measuring equipment to check specifications and tolerances
- Conducting in-process inspections across all production departments
- Identifying and investigating non-conformances, working with the production team to implement corrective actions
- Supporting internal audits and contributing to quality improvements across the business
What do you need?
- Experience as a Quality Engineer / Inspector within precision engineering
- A background in CNC machining or mechanical engineering (time-served experience desirable)
- Ability to read and interpret 2D & 3D technical drawings
- Experience operating CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines)
- Understanding of FAIR, SPC, FMEA, and other quality control tools
- Experience working in an ISO9001 / AS9100 accredited environment
