Our client is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer with experience and expertise in designing, assessing, and evaluating structural elements in residential and commercial projects. Candidates for Senior and Chartered levels will have significant experience, professional accreditation, and a proven track record in the field. This role involves providing detailed structural calculations, performing on-site inspections, and delivering comprehensive structural condition reports.

Key Responsibilities for structural engineer:

  • Structural Calculations and Design: Prepare accurate calculations and structural designs for a range of projects including wall openings, property extensions, loft conversions, and footing designs, adhering to all relevant codes and standards.
  • Structural Assessments and Condition Reporting: Conduct structural surveys (Level 2 or Level 3) and prepare in-depth condition reports, identifying potential structural issues and recommending corrective measures.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with architects, construction teams, and other project stakeholders to ensure the structural integrity and feasibility of designs.
  • Technical Documentation: Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical drawings, analysis, and project records, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentorship and Development (Senior/Chartered Levels): For Senior and Chartered Engineers, provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, reviewing their work and supporting professional growth within the team.

Qualifications and Skills for structural engineer:
