Anderselite is excited to offer an opportunity to work as a Principal Designer at one of our top clients architectural practices based in Central Manchester. This newly created role has emerged as a dedicated position following the introduction of the Building Safety Act last year. Previously an extension of an architect’s responsibilities, this role now stands as a distinct, impactful position within this dynamic practice.
About the Role:
We’re seeking an expert in Building Regulations to lead projects and ensure the highest standards of safety and compliance on high-risk buildings. CDM experience is preferred but not essential, as additional Health and Safety training can be provided in-house. This role requires someone who is exceptionally well-organised, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, and self-motivated.
Industry software knowledge (CAD, Revit, compliance software) is not required, as this role focuses primarily on building safety and regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
- Strong Building Regulations background – experience with high-risk buildings is essential
- Organisational skills – able to oversee and manage multiple projects
- Self-motivated – driven to ensure best practices and safety standards are met
We welcome candidates from varied backgrounds, including Building Control Officers, Approved Inspectors, and Health and Safety Consultants.
Why Join?:
This is a unique role that offers long-term stability and the chance to make a significant impact in the field of building safety.
