An opportunity has opened for a Design Manager to join a manufacturing and construction company based in Manchester. The ideal candidate will have excellent experience working as a Design Engineer using AutoCAD or similar and would have previous leading or management experience.

What theyre looking for:

Experience as a Senior Design Engineer, Design Manager or similar
Experience in the Mechanical and Construction sectors
Knowledge of AutoCAD or other CAD packages
Hydraulics, pneumatics or lifts experience
CSCS card
Excellent managerial skills
Experience of processes, documentation and liaising with customers

Design Manager Responsibilities:

Managing the Design process from start to finish
Making and advising any changes to engineering drawings
Some AutoCAD work of your own
Liaising with customers, suppliers and contractors
Providing insight on process and driving continuous improvement
Keeping documentation up to date and to the right standards
Assisting with site surveys
