Wentworth James are working with a long standing client assisting them in their search for multiple Asbestos Surveyors to work on a mobile basis covering the Manchester area. These are immediate requirements with immediate starts available

ROLE: Asbestos Surveyor

LOCATION: Mobile Role covering Manchester and surrounding areas

SALARY: Up to 38,000 DOE

These roles have become available due to even more contract wins and the company pride themselves on internal progression so there are genuine opportunities to progress within the business

They UKAS accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 and 17020 with offices based in London, Midlands, the North East and North West of England.

Essential qualifications and experience:

  • For the Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst role the candidate must hold BOHS P402, P403 and/or P404 certificates or equivalent
  • Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of industry experience in asbestos surveying and air monitoring
  • A valid UK Driving licence is essential, a company car will be provided

  • Have effective communication skills and the ability to liaise with contractors
  • Have a strong work ethic
  • Have strong IT skills
  • Be conversant with current Asbestos & Health and Safety legislation and guidance
  • Be flexible in your approach to working hours
  • Be self-motivated and also able to work as part of a team
  • Be competent in literacy and numeracy to construct accurate reports

The Role:
Your main responsibilities as an Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst will be to undertake all branches of surveying and analytical works
You will be responsible for

  • Carrying out asbestos surveys; management and refurbishment and demolition type surveys
  • Carrying out 4 stage clearances, test reporting and submitting reports for background, leak, reassurance, clearance, personal and smoke testing
  • Creating reports
  • Building and maintaining customer relations
  • Representing the company well at all times and in interactions with clients
  • Conducting site walkthroughs and survey plans
