MERJE is seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Manager for a leading banking institution in Manchester. This role involves overseeing customer journeys, conducting portfolio reviews, and managing risk. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial lending and possess strong analytical and communication skills.

Location: Manchester, UK - Hybrid working available - up to 70k

The Role

The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for monitoring existing dealers, identifying trends, and resolving issues. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain an effective Early Warning Indication suite

  • Manage Watch List status and oversee rehabilitation strategies
  • Advise on portfolio risk monitoring for specialist products

Required knowledge and experience:

  • Experience in lending to commercial customers across various product types
  • Proven ability to make risk-weighted decisions under pressure
  • Strong statistical analysis and data interpretation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Adaptable and proactive approach to problem-solving
