A unique opportunity to build a commercial insurance broking division within a business utility solution provider. Our client requires an experienced commercial insurance business development professional to establish and build this new division which will complement client service alongside the company's existing operations. This role is a rare chance to shape from scratch, navigating it through Appointed Representative (AR) and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) registration.

Job Overview

You will use your significant experience in UK commercial insurance to drive the strategic growth and management of the insurance division, with considerable client prospect leads and cross sell opportunities provided by the company. This position requires a solid grasp of commercial insurance, regulatory compliance, and team leadership. You'll collaborate closely with senior management to ensure the insurance products align with the company's goals and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

As this will be a new venture in an established business, you will be overseeing daily operations and crafting strategies to grow the division and both utilise and expand the substantial client base. You'll guide the process for obtaining AR status and FCA registration, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met. As the main contact for insurance-related inquiries, you'll build strong relationships with key insurance companies and industry contacts, delivering outstanding customer service. You'll also identify new business opportunities, create and implement marketing and sales strategies, and work with the supportive management team to offer comprehensive solutions to clients. Additionally, you'll develop and manage the division's budget, monitor performance, and implement cost-effective measures to maximise profitability. Preferred Attributes
