Sterling Williams are working alongside a great international bank that are seeking a new Area Head, (Midlands). The role holder is primarily responsible for driving profitable volume growth through value added sales and service of Commercial / SME customers. They target and manage an assigned portfolio of customers within the commercial credit business segments. The ideal candidate will be Fluent in English as well as Urdu or Hindi.

Job Purpose

The key challenge in this role is to manage both existing and grow new corporate portfolios and to read early warning signs that could affect
the portfolio health.
Managing the Midlands strategy and team across the three key sites is a priority of this role with leadership of customer, colleague,
commercial and control outcomes.

Tasks and Responsibilities
You are required to comply at all times with your contract of employment and all policies, procedures, rules, handbook and similar documents
applicable to you as an employee of th bank. As a senior manager you should have particular regard to the followingresponsibilities:

Application of the balanced scorecard approach within the branch and establishing strong processes around Customer, Colleague, Control andCommercial.

Colleague Objectives:
1. Coaching and training RM/RSOs - ensuring all KPIs are managed as per business scorecard
2. Quality Assurance support with stakeholder units
3. Country Credit Committee preparation and presentation of cases
4. Robust and strong personal diary management skills
5. Employee engagement and adherence to Banks behaviours model

Customer Objectives:
1. Portfolio Management of branches and adherence to TCF guidelines
2. Customer networking and managing client appointments
3. Trade & FX referrals to the business
4. Sirat referrals for clients seeking Islamic Banking solutions
5. Targeted account opening volumes

Commercial Objectives:
1. Targeted asset growth of the branch balance sheets
2. Targeted deposit growth of the branch balance sheets
3. Negotiate client proposals for assets and deposits
4. Submit proposals to internal credit and account opening teams
5. Disburse lending in accordance to branch targets

Control Objectives:
1. Manage credit renewals within bank policy and timescales
2. Ensure compliance entries and transactions are monitored in branches to policy
3. Enhanced Due Diligence is completed on accounts and branches manage to timescale
4. Excess monitoring of all key accounts and ensure all KRIs are managed in branches
5. SLAs for account openings are managed to business policy

Leadership of Midlands:
1. Ensure all new credit cases are checked as per 1st line process before submissions made to CAU. All lending requires Area HeadApproval
2. Prepare and present cases to CCC alongside all your Relationship Managers
3. All new account opening requests where exceptions are required must be vetted and checked by the Area Head
4. Liaise with all departments as the business head for transactions and new cases for the Midlands region
5. Ensure response times and SLAs for client requests are managed and monitored closely with your team and units
6. Management of the larger high net worth clients to be controlled by the Area Head
7. Maintain the relationship management regularly with the key accounts and stay connected to ensure service levels are strong
