Job Purpose

As a Business Development Manager, you will drive the growth of new client relationships and enhance existing partnerships for our client. Your role will involve proactively engaging with employers to understand their needs and effectively promote tailored solutions across a diverse range of educational products and programs.

You will be instrumental in ensuring a positive initial experience for clients and will gather insights on customer needs to inform strategic improvements. A passion for education and a commitment to putting client experience and learner outcomes at the forefront of your work are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Performance: Utilise your sales expertise to achieve targets related to corporate accounts, learner engagement, and client spend.
  • Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects to capture a greater share of market sectors.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and sustain effective relationships with clients, professional bodies, and key stakeholders.
  • Communication: Engage with clients through various channels, including telephone, face-to-face meetings, and written communications, including presentations and marketing events.
  • Proposal Development: Support the preparation of corporate proposals, bids, and tenders.
  • Client Intelligence: Gather and relay customer insights to ensure alignment with evolving needs and expectations.
  • Product Matching: Identify and match suitable products to client requirements.
  • Market Awareness: Stay informed about competitor activities and recommend necessary actions.
  • Strategic Development: Contribute to the development and execution of a corporate business strategy aimed at meeting sales and growth objectives.
Key Requirements
  • Sales Experience: Proven track record in B2B sales, ideally within the apprenticeship or education sector.
  • Results-Driven: Ability to meet and exceed sales targets through effective planning and execution.
  • Professionalism: Maintain confidentiality and high standards of professionalism.
  • Organisational Skills: Capable of prioritising a demanding workload to ensure an excellent experience for employers and learners alike.
